Derrick Brooks - RIP

Just received the sad news that Derrick Brooks who for many years was the Secretary of the Sherwood Flying Club at Tollerton, Nottingham has passed away. He had been in hospital for heart surgery but unfortunately did not make it.

Derrick was an enthusiastic aviator who was known by many - we mourn his passing.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Derrick.As you said Bob,an avid aviator and happy to help keen but sometimes,frustrated students along the,"rocky road to the ppl." I particularly remember him letting us use his business premises,free of charge, for studying for our nav,airlaw etc. RIP DB.
