PPL Groundschools

I would appreciate if the combimed forces of PPRuNe could help me with this one. I need to get the ground exams passed to finish off my PPL. Studying is not my strong point - poor at school, and the next twenty five years have not improved the situation!.

I've seen ads in the GA mags for some residential groundschools, and was wondering if there were any experiences anyone could enlighten me with?

at the risk of sounding like a sales person for OAT
Im in my mid 50's and found the books "difficult" to learn from
the Oxford Aviation Training CD's make it so much easier, to understand
give them a call, they offer a sample CD so you can see if its for you
as regard the cost, all of them equate to one lesson, so its money in the bank
