Very well done,
Did my first solo in a glider at 16 at WAP. First powered solo at St Mawgan a couple of years later. Although back on the ground I bet you haven't landed yet! Fantastic feeling and you'll remember it for many a year to come.

Sam, great job chap - my first solo was 8 months or so ago aged 16 + 1 day. It's a fecking great sense of achievment isn't it, and you have many more (as I've found out) to look forward to over the coming year. I'm guessing you've just finished your GCSEs like yours truly, in which you have great timing with regard to the fact that you now have 7-8 weeks to chill out, relish in the fact of your accomplishment and take some more leaps and bounds towards earning your wings.
Splendid performance mate,
Cheers, Jack.

Hey Sam, well done mate! Thanks for calling to tell me about it too!
For those that don't know him, let me tell you this guy is a first-rate natural pilot "born to fly"! I have enjoyed several trips with Sam, as you can see... this was us at FL070 on Sunday afternoon flying from Cardiff back to Wycombe via Gloucestershire (btw, the loon in the back is my brother John
):
Once again Sam, well done mate!

Well done Sam! There's lots of great moments in flying, but nothing beats first solo.
I would buy you a drink, but you'll have to wait a couple of years first.

Sam,
Congratulations. Which of the 152's did you do your solo in? Mine was in Charlie Echo, but its a long time ago now.
I probably saw you all on Sunday as G-ODAK arrived back as I was preparing to go out for an evening flight in 'BI.

Well done indeed. I did my first solo 18 months ago, sadly then became financially embarrassed for reasons I wont go into here, and have yet to complete the ppl, but that aside, when I look back, that was an unsurpassable moment, and one of lifes great memories. Futhermore, even if I never set foot in a plane again, I have a log book with command hours in it, and that is something that can never be taken away.
Well done and let this be the first of many hours in command.

Congrats!
Congratulations on your first solo!
It feels good eh? I remember mine, kept grinning for a week at least. Now you will leave the circuit at last! and do some nav.
Won't be long before you take your skills after that, but remember to build up the solo hours.
I went solo today too, after another checkout! Got my PPL about 16 months ago.
Weather was good today so everyone was in the air but vis really wasn't that good, lots of traffic on the radio. Poor Boscombe Zone had a very busy time.
Enjoy the rest of your training, you will be there before you know it!

Sam,
Good job buddy! I'm an airline Capt and my fist solo was many years ago but it's a milestone you will never forget. There are many more ahead so look forward to them and enjoy your career.
Best of luck
