Error viewing AIP other than in IE
There has been discussion recently about using browsers other than IE to browse the AIP.
I have just discovered a potentially problematic bug, which is that the ICAO codes are displaced down one line compared to the airfield names, lining up the wrong code with the airfield name. If you were to use it as a quick reference to get the code, for an FPL, for example, it could be quite a confuser.

sorry Tim, I tried sorting out your picture but it can't be done. Can you email the picture to me? I can try and put it in here for you.

I have passed this on to AIS but:-
If you use on unsupported browser to interact with the site you should not expect it to perform as advertised. Supported browsers are listed in the FAQ document on the site and are available off the web as free downloads.
Browser compatibility is one of the issues that I have asked to be included in the agenda for a meeting on 20 April at AIS.

A related question: are there any browsers for Palm OS or Pocket/PC which work correctly with the AIS notam website?
Also, is there a problem with accessing the website from somewhere else in Europe to get notams for the return flight to the UK? I vaguely recall reading somewhere that some notams go missing if one does it that way round.

If you want to be bombproof you should obtain your NOTAM brief for an international flight from the AIS of the State within whose airspace the flight originates. That way if you bust some airspace that was not included in the brief you are covered.
Mike
PS
No-one ever puts a TRA in controlled airspace so it's only us poor sods in GA who have the problem.

Is there a reference somwhere for the websites for each of these? I did once see a Eurocontrol site but it was incredibly slow and as one had to download about 20MB of client-side Java to use it, it wouldn't make one very popular in an internet cafe

Hollow laugh is indeed appropriate - here's a nice example from one of the above AIS sites

Perhaps the Notams are under Live Chat
There HAS to be a better way...

The Department of Civil Aviation in Cyprus, known as (DCA) consisting of over 1000 (Permanent and temporary) staff, has its headquarters located in the capital of Nicosia.
At present, there are approximately 94 aircraft and helicopters on the Cyprus register

If I may make an observation, you've posted a link to another online forum which, for most part, looks so similar (in content and poster nicknames) to Pprune that the two may as well be merged
I wasn't aware of that one and wonder how many more there are.....
