ANZ Business Class?

Any experience of Air New Zealand's Business Premier? They are a relatively cheap option LHR - HKG.

Thanks.

Is that LHR-HKG via AKL? Or do they fly LHR-HKG direct?

That's LHR - HKG direct, I hope! I think they then fly on to AKL.

Yes, direct to HKG. They have an east-about and West-about route to AKL, with the Eastern route marginally faster if going to AKL.

I'm a great fan. Excellent food & drink. Bed is completely horizontal. All seats have direct aisle access (herringbone pattern) and the cabin staff I've experienced have always been really open and friendly. If you're collecting miles on Star Alliance I reckon it should be your first choice.

I try not to respond to ANZ specific questions because that would clearly be an abuse of the mod priviledge - Even though I would love to...

I had my first experience with a New Zealand white wine on a BA DUS-BHX flight in economy many years ago (when economy pax were still dined and wined - albeit mainly with plonky wines). I was so impressed with it's quality in comparison to the usual plonk that one was accustomed to in Y that I went looking for NZ wines to try. At the time they were not easy to find on this side of the Channel. NZ became, and still is, my all time favourite in the production of whites. Sorry, I have digressed I've always heard good things about NZ Business Class and I'd like to try them out. Guess I'll take a little detour and try the LHR-HKG next time I'm heading that way.
