Tiger Moth RFDS Charity Flight Mid August
Hi all,
Old mate Smithy From Caloundra Airport in Qqld is blasting off Mid August for a fund raiser in benefit of the RFDS in his classic Tiger Moth.
Out of Brissy or Archerfield to Mt Isa via Toowoomba, Chinchilla Roma, Charleville, (Onite & beers Charleville)
Next day to Blackall, Barcaldine, Longreach (Oite & beers Longreach)
Next day Winton, Cloncurry, Mt Isa
Beers at the Isa.
A few other aircraft are joining the trip .
Anyone is welcome to join in the trip.
Relaxed pace with good flying and beers at night.
Good nav practice!

Brisbane Eagle Farm departure at Dawn on the Friday 15th August.
Refuel at Chinchilla,
Roma
Charleville for O/nite (wx Dependant)
Day 2 Sat 16th
Blackall
Barcaldine
Longreach
Winton for O/nite
Day 3 Sun 17th
Winton
Cloncurry
Mt Isa Hopefully a booze up!
Return a day or 2 later.
Anyone up early want to formate on the way out are most welcome to join........

So how did it go? We had a great time in spite of some poor weather at times. Saw places I could never have dreamed of visiting and met some wonderful people.

We had an absolute Blast!
Tail winds there and back.
Tiger didn't miss a beat at all.
Fantastic reception at all ports from the locals.
Can't wait till next year.......................
Other aircraft are welcome to join for the trip entry donation required.
Gala dinner in the RFDS Mt Isa hangar for the participants at end.
