Lifestyle with Eagle + other NZ regionals.

Do you get to fly most of the airports they service – e.g. if based in Auckland, do you ever get to fly to Te Anau, or do you never get out of the North Island?

What’s a typical roster week? Would any real pilots care to say what they’ve done over the last week/month (routes, early starts, days off, night flights etc)?

What’s the pay like? (for Capt/FO)

I’m just a keen wannabe who really wants to fly for a regional one day – so here’s your chance to impress me with your tales….

Thanks.

I think Origin start on ~ $28000, Eagle ~$32000ish. Air Nelson pays better.

Thanks DANZ.

Everyone else - are all Eagle pilots so overworked that they don't have time to reply to this thread!? (ha ha)

Also - the map I saw of Eagle operations said they go into Te-Anau. But it's a 700m odd grass strip - do the Beech's operate into it or do they use something else?

Thanks again...

Dont work for Eagle but have never heard them on the radio going into there, 700M sounds a little short for a 1900.

Origin pay depends on AC type betweem 29k to 34k first year salary with about 6k in allowances on that.

Rosters depend on AC type but normally 4 days a week with 1 stby 2 off, some weeks better, some weeks worse, duty time around 100-120 a month with about 55 flying.

Cool

mmm...Stiffler's Mom! Te Anau definitely too short for a B1900 but would be fun trying though!
Cheers for the QO info SplitFlap. You in NS?
