they must be wanting to burn up some money then, drw-knx-bme, is a market to small to support two operators, a new start-up would have to be prepared to wage a long war with airnorth over that route, and airnorth have qf ff's tied up.

as for bme-phe, northwest regional (broome av) service this route already with their two 404's and i believe they recieve a government subsidy due to the marginal nature of the route.

now, what would be interesting would be PER-BME on DJ...

also would agree with you "No and Then", "HA" is very good at highlighting everyone else's problems, maybe he should get his own backyard in order first, he doesn't have a reputation as the greatest employer on the strip by some...

Goodness me if some one slapped my hand whilst I was paying them they'd soon be booking themselves into the local dentist . Fortunately I've never had the pleasure. I suppose on a renewal though you just want to get it and pass so the tollerance level is a little higher.

Again important to understand that you are not bullet proof just because you hold a position of power.

People are getting fed up of this sort of stuff.

Mr Hat Sir... I know I did... no one has had the hide to hit me like that since I left my defacto some years ago... (save one home invasion / attempted rape). The mere idea of someone hitting me out of some detrimental frustration as a direct result of their inability to communicate was upsetting to say the least.

I have been called a few not very nice things during my life, but I have never been accused of fabrications and lies until I met this man. He was subsequently prooved embarrassingly incorrect.

the day he got himself sooo drunk and made a pass at me, I nearly cried... and nearly vomited... and Im nott he only one hes done it to....

Im going to stop right there....

My fellow pruners...

Now now... (what was that post about pettiness).....

One has to wonder why I post on here? This thread was genuinely started to let Darwin ex pats in on whats been happening. Seems me can't write anything without being shot at.

AT NO POINT HAVE I BEEN NEGATIVE TOWARDS ANY OTHER COMPANY. The basic goss is what anyone in Darwin would know.

So bag the cr*p outa me if you like but its a bit like water of a ducks back.

Oh and i'm glad that you've finally realised that yes it is all about HA

p.s. Thank you for being concerned about my business..... Any time you feel free drop in for a beer, we can discuss future business strategies and direction.

p.p.s. Just want to take this opportunity to promote the Top End Boys again.... Channel 7 regional 8:30 Fri 9th May...

Well, there certainly are some strange things going on DFS wise...

BHFS was operating using the DFS AOC while the CFI at BHFS was unfit last year. Is the reverse now a return of the favor?

At the risk of being heckled, why do you people have so much against HA? I dealt with him for 3 1/2 years in Darwin (from the other side of the microphone and as industry liaison officer) and found him to be quite reasonable and one of my personal preferences to have him or one of his pilot's in a sticky situation where I needed some help. Anyway, feel free to tell me that I'm blowing wind up him.

As for DFS, heard that the CFI has lost his medical (about time), interested to hear that Bruce Hartwig FS is involved with him. Expect the arrival of another flying school in Darwin before too long. I know of the operator and think it would be good for the industry if they made it.

HA, don't want to hear about the dry season, stuck down in Melbourne until June, and then maybe get to move somewhere north again. Drop me a line if you're coming here and we'll have a cold one.

Watch out guys, and watch where you put your money, you might not get it back!!

I've never met anyone more concerned about money in my life. Lucky I got out in time, a lot of others didn't.....

What about wak waks, have they gone bust yet??? Last I heard they had laid off over half of their staff and aircraft(some of which went to HA) By the way, you do have a fat bottom HA.

Also heard that just recently, HA may be getting into bet with Eastlands (someone DID like your fat bum photo) maybe attempting to sleaze on to the islands.

DFS finished but staff remain under new banner (awaiting further developments on as to who). BHFS short term only.

Kakadu Bob is alive and well. Mike from the river cruise arm of the Kak Air group was on "getaway" the other night. Bob may be hurting a little in the harsh economic times though the boys do have a new school uniform (you'd understand if you saw it). Bob never was one for fashion sense!!

Finally, the dry should not be far away. HA will have his stall at the Mindill Beach markets (sell sell sell) Will you be wearing your Priscilla outfit??

Talking WOT!?!?!

Have they changed the KAKWORLD colours? We wore brown shorts for a very good reason! Believe it or not there was a paragraph in the Ops manual in the late 90s that refered to the fact that on one scenic departing Jabiru RWY 09 the route may have to be modified slightly in some 207s at MTOW, due to the fact that adequate terrain clearance (500 ft) may not be acheived under ambient conditions. The terrain was an 700ft escarpement about 4 miles away!!

Who will be the chosen airline to repatriate the long grassers back home?
Will there be a sheep dip installed at the airport?
Very lucrative this one..I would say five hundred bums per week?

Can anyone tell me what has become of the former AA staff. They had some great guys/girls there and I would like to think they are all still gainfully employed. PS I must mourn the passing of the brown short, HA time for you to step up to the forefront of aviation fashion perhaps? You were out there with the B58 paint job, how about workwear? Didn't NJS used to wear moleskins, pink shirts and akubras?

HA,
I personally admire your drive and initiative.
Having watched hundreds of guys and gals come up from down south and try and find the elusive job, including your self, you were one of the few that had the initative to create your own position!

As for your knockers, wouldn't pay too much attention, everybody and anybody who takes the big step to start and run their own company have to listen to the advise of the experts haven't had the gumption or ability to even try.

Must say I trialled the ochre shirts! Only problem was the sweat marks!

See you wouldn't have that problem in the 146 or Dash! But in the lovely Baron in the wet mmmmmmmmm.

Interesting comments here and there. Geuss it all really boils down to what you enjoy doing, and for some warped reason I LOVE DOING WHAT I DO.....

p.s. Top End Boys Launch at Discovery 9th May 1930... if you would like an invite mail me.

p.p.s. Told you it was all about HA.. did ya like the fish
