Logging of flight time - help !!

I need help figuring out what to put in the logbook for 2 pilot flights in a single pilot a/c.

Say 2 pilots are a client requirement but the a/c is a light piston twin, what can the pilot in the rhs put in their logbook ? What if the a/c has only one control column ?

Also for icus, does the a/c need to have 2 control columns ?

I was halfway thorugh a response when I caught myself and realised that this was probably a wind up.

Good effort.

I thought the same IBEX.

The "safety" pilot logs no time if it's a single pilot aeroplane.

Buy CAOs, read 40.1.0.10.
Buy CARs read 5.40, 5.51 and 5.52.
Do a search for ICUS in the D+G forums over the last year. This topic has been discussed to death twice (I think).

I was told to log the right-hand seat time in PA31s, C402s etc. by my operator on instruction from CASA. They regarded it as time to be counted toward flight time limits and thus had to go in Flight and Duty sheet and Logbook. Sometimes I was in the position of maxing the 30 hrs/7 day limit. I am fairly sure the Pearl Kingair (B200 - SP) copilots log their time. Maybe someone could confirm.

Out of curiosity, what exactly did you log it as?

I logged the time in Co-pilot multi-engine column. On PA31/C402 it doesn't mean much I know but there you go. Not being an instructor/check pilot the time in the right seat did give me the opportunity to see how others pilots operate. Useful insight if you haven't done real multicrew flying before.
