Islander endorsments

Can anybody advise me of companies that do Twin Otter or Islander endorsments anywhere in Oz, and if known, a rough idea of cost would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance

SF

Sydney Skydiving at YSBK can stich you up with a twotter endorsment.

Not too sure of the price but around $7000 I think.

Hi Skyfox,

Two operators of Islanders that I am aware of in Qld are Hempel's at Archerfield, and Rocky Aero Club in Rockhampton.
I am not 100% sure if either of them do endorsements, but since they are both operated by people attached to flight schools, I hope they might be worthy of an enquiry for you anyway.

Good luck!

Remember its a Bn2 Bongo. Not an Islander.

Enjoy the hearing loss....

BN2 - the only aircraft ever designed to be powered by sonic waves?
Not a very efficient form of thrust creation, maybe that explains the 130 kts TAS

I endorse BongoDriver's; comments re the hearing loss though in PNG we used to call them 'Brmm Brmms' as the flamin' engines would rarely stay in synch!

Gee i thought 145kts was slow in a P68. Ive had 172's go faster than the bongo. My suggestion only do the endorsement if its 100% required your money may be spent in ****** and better area's.
