IR Renewal - Brisbane
Evening all!!
Can anyone recommend an examiner ( or school) in or around Brisbane for renewal of a long rusty CIR. Preferably someone who may have a little understanding of overseas pilots just wanting to keep things current.
Also, what is the going rate for a light twin these days?
Thanks
Bozzo

Grandpa Aerotart
John Chesterfield at Cooly. Renewed my IR with him last week...very excellent indeed and he has a couple of excellent sims (one is a 'Kingair' and the other a piston twin) that keep the cost down.
The aircraft he uses is a nice little BE76 at about $400/hr. CG-LIS-CG for a GPS/NPA & NDB on return is about an hour-ILS in the Box. If you're not BE76 endorsed you will be by the end of it.
PM/email me if you want his contact details....not sure W would like me putting them on ere![Big Grin](https://www.pprune.org/images/smilies2/eusa_clap.gif)

Aircrew Check & Training; based at Armidale with satellite schools at Caboolture and Bundaberg.
Gordon Smith is the CFI.
You can hire a REALLY GOOD Aztec for $350/hr + GST, if you know the right people.......

QAS
Try QAS at Caloundra (about 45 min north of Brissy), I beleive they may even know something about your overseas requirements as the CFI and his fellow director (his brother) are English. They use a Seneca, I think under $350 but also have a 310 and a Baron.
