Hi All,
After some research I have managed to connect my GPS to my PC and can swap waypoints between the two freely. My problem is I do not want to spend US$35 if it is not necessary.
I moved to NZ from Africa, with my trust Go Places Safely (GPS)machine. After an "Autolocate" I found out where I was and all is hunky dorey...well kind of. There do not seem to be any NZ airports/beacons etc. Do I have to purchase the update from Garmin?

You will need to install a pacific database, as you have probably got an Atlantic database in it currently..
Have a look at http://shop.garmin.com/aviation/databases/coverage.asp
for details of the database coverage areas.

I have a 95 that used to work......One part is u/s... the swich pad.Well actually the printed circuit ribbon on the back is torn due to a minor repair job. I would like to buy a totally u/s one to fix it up. Avionic companies are not at all helpful.....can you suggest any ideas?.......Best regards
