Accident Kooweerup

Radio news reports a fatal accident at Kooweerup today, April 4. The report has a helmet striking the prop and the aircraft then crashing. One dead.
A pusher aircraft perhaps?

At Aardel Port (Koo Wee Rup) airfield they often have get-togethers on long weekends with those little trikes that literally fold up into a suitcase. They look like fun and are great on a nice still morning.

This article has a video showing the aircraft on the ground.

No evidence is presented for the helmet theory.

Huh? She literally says "it is believed his helmet has come loose and caused the aircraft to crash"

So a newsreader saying "it is believed" suddenly becomes evidence?

A later news item (Perth) reported that the helmet was not done up, it flew off in slipstream, hit the pusher prop, which disintegrated and took out adjacent wing, causing........

I guess he won't be doing it again.
Sad if true.

No.

So a "Rumour Network" has suddenly become a courtroom?

Perhaps it didn’t help that he wasn’t the owner
of the aircraft and may have not been fully familiar with the equipment being used.

Very tragic-( the risks of flying are always there especially in these types of contraptions. RIP.
