Oh the humanity.
Hopefully CASA will come down on the operator and pilot with the full force of the law, after suspending their certificates. Somebody must have made a mistake. Heads must roll.

I wonder if nighttime was a factor in the incident ? Misjudging a landing a night is more likely than during the day, especially if the pilot is inexperienced.

Actually I take the hard landing back. From what I have heard, it seems like a successful forced landing that they walked away from. Machines can be easily fixed or replaced, different story with people.
Saw on 7 news a C404 emergency landing at Bankstown yesterday.
Something obviously not right it looked like only Approach Flap on final on the news footage and showed a flat nose wheel after landing.
News also states aircraft flew for an hour to “ dump fuel”. Hmmm.......

Question - How did the VH-VOA man know he had a flat nosewheel tyre?
Do they have those pressure sensors on them now?
Just curious is all....Cheers
