When I did a bit of dragging fuel hoses around under the Shell banner we were not allowed to touch the stuff. If someone wanted to put it in I'd hand them the over wing nozzle, walk away and stand up wind.

Guys, just a thought, but perhaps not everyone in the Aviation world monitors PPrune? It could just happen to be that the people in the know, shock horror, aren't members on here and those that are haven't had the gossip trickle through to them yet?
It really could be less of a conspiracy that some are suspecting due to a lack of information on here and really just be that no one in the know on this particular situation happens to frequent here.

That’s an unlikely thought Ixi. By the way under the new Qantas guidelines I’m not sure you can call us guys.
Hahaha, my apologies, I shall endeavor to use "Hey People" or perhaps "Hey youse" in the future, perhaps "Hey (Insert self identification here)" would be most appropriate? Good thing I don't work for Qantas ey?

So did the aircraft simply run out of fuel? Or something else?
But I'm not sure that I'd call outlanding a Conquest "making a mountain out of a molehill".
If it had happened just a bit earlier in the flight he might have been scratching to find a suitable place to land.
It's not like it's going to be a secret forever. ATSB will release a report eventually.

So was SSE of Sandfire and northish of Roebuck.
Lovely young ladies at Roebuck, great night on Friday and Saturday if you happen to be a ringer that can't type. 😊
Do you mean SSE of Roebuck roadhouse and (well) north of Sandfire?
And I presume the ladies were in Roebuck hotel, in Broome.
You'd be the first ringer I know of who was at all concerned about loveliness.
