A friend just did his class 2 medical last week, and the doctor did not issue the certificate himself. Because he is not a DAME 2! So not all DAMEs have gone through whatever BS "a comprehensive eLearning online training module" there is to upgrade themselves to become a DAME 2. Doctors are busy people, and no wonder they don't have time for this BS.
CASA now publishes separate lists of DAMES, and DAME 2s.

I also note, they claim "To further streamline processing, the CASA Class 2 application fee has been reduced to $65..."
How is that streamlining processing by CASA?
Does it take less time for them to bank $65 than it does to bank $75?
How much time does $10 save?
Is there a time reduction on your keyboard skills to get to the 6 12.3% quicker than the 7?
Will a 6 transmit quicker than a 7 down the internet?
