QantasLink Level 2 Cadetship and age.
Hey guys and girls,
Although it's illegal do discriminate based on age, are there any examples of people being accepted in their early 40's?
I've got a CPL/ MECIR and all the ATPL's done, but life has taken me down a different road which means that I still have less than 500 hours TT. Having said that, I have significant industry experience in Flight operations at Airline level and theory instruction.
If mature age applicants aren't representing a reasonable percentage of successful applicants, why would this be?
Does age incorporate an element of an applicants' "competitiveness"?
Cheers,
Gearup.

The older you get the more of a training risk you appear to be. When I was in my early 30's and still starting out I stopped putting my DOB on the CV and it was surprising how many more responses I seemed to get.
