Whereabouts of dehavilland Doves in OZ
Hi People,
I am looking for any leads on the locations of DH.104 Dove / Devons around Australia. I hope to compile a list to help locate aircraft in need of presevation. i have a website and facebook page setup dedicated to this cause, please check them out when you get a chance.

I was in Mackay a few years ago and there was one there in dire need of repair.
I did speak to the owner and he stated he did have parts for repair, as far as I remember he had two new wings still in crates and some other parts
If you talk to the flying school up there they may be able to steer you in the right direction
Let me know how you go
Regards

Darwin Aviation Museum has a Transportes Aereos de Timor (TAT) Dove reg CR TAG, that come out of Dili in 1975.
Not sure what happened to VH CJX & VH CJY,both at Jandakot in the long grass at one stage, many years ago. They were originally Devons I think.

VH-ABM was the Dove at MB (the airframe out at Heathcote now)for many years with grass growing under it & VH-NBM was the tan coloured Dove out at Wallan (now a housing estate!), I know as I used to fly both
Both where Riley conversions (IO720's)with NBM having what appeared to be a typical swept back Cessna type Fin/rudder making it much better control wise upon T/O. I have a one off fantastic painting of VH-ABM done by our very own resident aviation artists AE, so sad to see that airframe died at Heathcote:-(
