FLYING SCHOLARSHIPS-1962 awards

The Australian Flying Scholarship scheme was launched in 1962 by the Federal Government. If you were awarded one in 1962, or know anyone who was, please contact me, as a commemorative booklet is being produced.

Commonweath Flying Scholarship did not last long then - I was awarded one of the last ones in 1970

Mine would have been about 1964 also. It made the difference between affording to start a flying career and having to go to the merchant marine.
Reckon I woulda made more money on the ships....
