This whole B-Cat thing

Hello hello,

Just thinking again about sitting for this B-CAT instructor rating. I exceed all the requirements, just need to get the POF etc all back up to speed. Any tales out there of your B-CAT flight test? I hear from some it was easy as anything , others say it was a nightmare and they are glad its over ?

Pretty easy test. Pretty much like a c-cat test with a discussion on first solo's and BFR's.

Check out the pass rates on the ASL website.

It pays to be over-prepared. Don't take it too lightly, it is/can be pretty full-on depending on the examiner. Brush the cobwebs off your Kermode, download a bunch of AC's. A likely briefing these days is Slow Flight since it's new to the PPL/CPL syllabus and they're trying to get some standardisation on its delivery.

And most importantly ensure you have adequate funds for the shout after passing!
