I cant believe I was whinging about $1.20.
If you take the Non returnable drum deposit into account here, its well and truly double that old price and a bit on top.
I have a receipt here for fuel when I first set up shop here ten years ago. .52c per liter. Glad I switched to JetA1.

I paid AUD$3.00 a liter in Cebu four years ago. Was the cheapest part of Cebu.
I was parked on the INTL side of the airport as directed and it was costing me USD$200 per half hour and they collected every half an hour. young lass on the back of a scooter with a receipt book appeared every half an hour.
Then there was all the hundreds of other gov departments with their hand in my pocket. Fuel was the cheapest part of Cebu.

Bottom of the Philippines. I forgot to mention that the parking charges are factored on weight. the first weight category starts at >55000kg. so even though I was in a lighty, I was paying for a 737.
I do rember being charged US$350 for a 44G drum of avgas in Indonesia around the same time. 30% of the fuel was water. Pretty expensive fuel over there then. I would hate to have to buy over there now.
