West Coast Operators

G'day guys and girls,

Within a month or so I am shifting from the east to the west and am struggling to find information on operators over there. At this point in time I am not quite sure if I have the hours to be able to pull up comfortably in Perth (preferred), so the search range is between Geraldton and Albany (not really the north west) at the moment to see what's out there. Looking at both charter and regional work if any exists.

I've done a search on here and the net in general and can't pull up too many names at all on other WA operators so if anyone out there can lend a hand to point me in the right direction it would be very much appreciated.

I have 1450TT and 780 Multi with a bit of van time too. At this point in time I have mentally prepared myself to dust off my hospitality skills until I can find some work but if anyone can let me know some other places to look so I might be able to tee something up before arrival it would save a great deal of heartbreak.

Thanks so much

The Perth regional scene is pretty quite mate right now, no hiring going on for a while that i'm aware of unless you have jet experience for National Jet/ Alliance and Ozjet. Network won't be doing much until Feb and i believe they will only be taking on 1 FO and 1 Captain. Skippers still seem to be taking a few here and there. Skywest would be your best bet, but they do favour the Perth born and bred.

If you have an instructor rating, best bet it to shack up at china southern or Singapore airlines and await the next hiring boom, or if you have not got your ATPL's get them out the way while instructing and start applying for the Airlines.

Great mate, thanks for the info. Unfortunately no real time outside pistons but I've sent away to the above mentioned and will see how we go in the new year. In the mean time I'll keep building that time up. Cheers

North of Perth

geraldton - Midwest/shine aviation
Carnarvon - Tropic Air (just advertised for a driver in Karratha)
Karratha (getting a bit further north) - Karratha Flying Services
