Melb to Brissie hour building
Hi all
I'll be heading up home to QLD over xmas and will be flying up there, so thought I'd see if anyone was keen on sharing costs and building some hours![Smilie](https://www.pprune.org/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Leaving just before christmas and returning just before or just after new year.
If anyone is interested feel free to PM me.

Sounds interesting, I am also hour building and have no serious xmas plans either...
Echo of earlier post - what are you flying in, what rate per hour?
What club are you hiring from/departure airfield?
Are you offering accomodation and xmas dinner etc as well?![Wink](https://www.pprune.org/images/smilies/wink2.gif)

Thanks for the replys so far.
I'm still undecided as to the a/c I'l take up, either a Warrior (or archer) @$160/h (Archer $170) or building some 182 time @ $246/h.
Flying out of either Lilydale or Essendon.
I just moved down here, so if anyone one has a line on any other aircraft, I'm all ears

I am with Royal Vic Aero Club at Moorabbin, Warrior works out about the same as the price you had.
however I am not going to be flying for a while due a clutch replacement on my BMW which the repairer has bloated the repair costs for way out of proportion and has so far had my car for two weeks and done nothing with it except diagnose and quote. So all my money is disappearing rapidly with hire car costs

Off the subject obviously but I used to be in the automotove repair business many years ago & I can tell ya it's the biggest rip off industry known to mankind!
'downunder' As for owning beamer? I feel sorry for you andl to this day I can't see why anybody would want to own one, they are like ar*eholes, everybody has one, common as mud! But there might be some medicine for that condition, I suggest you take it & put that nasty experience (owning a beamer) behind you!![Bored](https://www.pprune.org/images/smilies/wbored.gif)

"Wannabe" as for hr building, well why waste yr money on a C182 when a PA28 will have the same long term effect, hrs in the log book.

I know getting anywhere quickly is pointless when hourbuilding, however I also want to get some 182 time (10 hours) to be insurable for meat-bombing ops![Wink](https://www.pprune.org/images/smilies/wink2.gif)
Downunder, sorry to hear about the beamer.

It's funny how I've noticed that times have changed. Nowdays when I want to fly somewhere (from my field near Melb) it seems that nobody wants to come along (no smart comments please). It just seems like nobody much hangs around airports any more these days. I often find myself heading off on my lonesome. Perhaps I should downgrade from 4 seats to 1. Defeats the purpose of everything I was working towards!
