Cairns ATC Xmas Drinks
GDay All,
It's that time again!!!
The annual Cairns ATC Xmas Drinks will be held at the North Queensland Aero Club, from 5pm on the 28th November.
As per previous years, we will be supplying keg beer, softies and wine. Spirits can be purchased from the bar, and the Aero Club will be selling food.
Come along and have a beer on your local ATC's.
Hope to see as many of you there as we can.

I don't know who Rod is but it would be a sublime pleasure to renew acquaintances with Gday Matey, who once posed as Chief Chook on these forums, I suspect under Reddo's influence, and had me wondering for weeks.
One of these days....... my super is going down so fast I may not make it to the next CS Xmas drinks. One must do it. Free drinks, free accommodation (you owe me one Grumpy) now if I could just get free transport it would be like being a real pensioner!

Got official permission from Leader of Opposition / Minister for War to attend this year.
Daisy Don't you knock "M's" 'Mankini' and the associated Mumu....he kept that on for the subsequent Trytrans party as well..... If I can find some pix I'll get 'em up. Don't think he'll be wearing it at the party for his new employer though

Good selection down Sheridan St (Captain Cook Hwy) towards town. Anything from 5 star to backpackers in the same area, about 3-4km from NQAC - Sheridan Plaza is prob nearest, next to Dunwoodys pub.

The NQAC carpark is often a good option too! Back in the good old days the back of a ute was sometimes used for accomm, for those too blind to know where they were staying or living. Mind you the protective services boys and girls might have something to say about that these days. The old Cairns Firies Parties used to leave a few seriously sore heads. What happened to the Firies parties anyway? Litigation? Security from memory I think? The last big one at the Hinterland Hangar was huge...1995 or 96'?? Some Airside antics got some well known people into a little trouble.. Legendary stuff!

hhmmm... The safety officer on the night in question said the white ass in the grass somewhere about Alpha 2 was a sight to behold! I do recall a drivers licence was lost as a result or was that just rumour?

Just taking it back to the top folks!!
This Friday 28th November, from 1700 at the NQAC. We have six kegs already cooling down, red and white wine, bubbly and softies.
The Aero Club are holding a sausage sizzle, and as usual we will be running some raffles to raise money so you can drink for free, so bring some coins.
Looking forward to having a beer with as many as possible.
