Investigate by all means - but from one who lived in PNG for over 20 years I would be very surprised if cotton or Japara parachute cords would last sixty four years supporting a body in the tree canopy near Myola Village in the Northern District of PNG!

Even shoes grow fur in thirty days on the coast in that humidity and heat.
