Post accident re-training

What sort of things do you think are important in the re-training of a pilot after an accident. Sure there are lots of variables but to those ATOs, Instructors, CPs or pilots unfortunate to have pranged what have you done to re-train or be re-trained?

Provided that the pilot is still motivated I imagine that being thrown into the deep end straight away (with some stress safely induced by the RHS) would steel a pilots nerves. After an accident any pilot is going to be cautious and certainly not make the same mistake again (well not straight away) so I don't think that the training needs to be very technical rather I think that it needs to focus on managing situations and systems or taking a look at the big picture. Perhaps somebody with more experience can find better words to say these things.

Looking forward to some constructive debate.

The approach taken would depend on the nature of the accident and its cause. The tech crew may have had no input into the cause of the accident such as one caused by a mechanical failure.
