Not unlike the property developer who started telling the media and other vested interests that Jandakot Airport was to be closed and moved 40km to the south. They are still wiping egg off their collective faces.
I don't know of any property developers who aren't shivering in their boots right now. They are praying that they can get their current projects finished and sold before the proverbial hits the fan.
I don't think you are going to see any new developments down that way for a long time.

THE DEVELOPMENT HAS STARTED
But not the one gassed budgie and Island Jock referred to
Called into BRS last week and I see the Hangar project has started, the footings for the Aircraft Maintenance Hangar are in and the builder advises a completion date within the next 6 to 8 weeks.

Not only is McSkydive in court on the criminal charge but his mates are conspicuous by their absence.
The talon must be working as ACCC and Co. are not on the scene, or is it the sinking ship syndrome?

Luke McWilliam on assault charges

BARWON Heads skydive operator Luke McWilliam allegedly punched an elderly man who entered his property during an airport working bee, a court has heard.
Mr McWilliam, 39, is alleged to have struck 61-year-old Aero Club volunteer Leslie Tyack to the jaw on July 1 last year.
The dispute occurred as Mr Tyack was mowing a section of airstrip which runs onto Mr McWilliam's neighbouring property.
Mr McWilliam, of Barwon Heads Rd, Connewarre, has pleaded not guilty to one charge of unlawful assault.
During a contested hearing at Geelong Magistrates' Court yesterday, Mr Tyack said Mr McWilliam grabbed his left shoulder and said: ``Get off my f------ property.''
Mr Tyack said he told Mr McWilliam he was cutting the grass to make the runway safe and Mr McWilliam struck him on the jaw.
``He raised his right hand with a clenched fist. As he threw the punch I twisted and deflected the punch and pushed him away,'' Mr Tyack told the court.
Mr Tyack said the accused made several punching motions towards his face and followed him off the property before throwing two more punches.
Alan Swanwick, for Mr McWilliam, described the relationship between his client and airport users as ``poisonous'', and Mr Tyack said it had not been good.
Mr Swanwick suggested Mr Tyack was lying about the incident in an attempt to close down Mr McWilliam's skydiving business and drive him from the airfield.
``This is another in a long list of false allegations against Mr McWilliam,'' he said.
``You were aware your presence on his property was something he would object to.''
During cross examination, Mr Tyack denied he was lying but said he had twice been warned to keep off the property.
He also rejected a suggestion he punched Mr McWilliams and aimed the mower at him.
Witness Barbara Begg, who owns the airport, told the court she saw Mr McWilliam push Mr Tyack so that he ``nearly fell off the mower''.
A second witness, Tony Wheal, said Mr McWilliam struck Mr Tyack who then pushed the accused in self-defence.
But under cross examination, he admitted he could not rule out it was in fact a strike at Mr McWilliam.
The hearing continues.

Will be very difficult to prove what's the truth & what's not. Uglyness is never an easy thing to wipe from ones true mind
I hope they can get to the bottom of this so that we can go on about doing what we love best, simply flying!

Airstrip assault charge
A dispute between Geelong Aero Club and neighbouring property owner Luke McWilliam has resulted in Mr McWilliam being charged with unlawful assault.
Mr McWilliam, 39 of Barwon Heads Rd Connewarre, is alleged to have struck 61 year old Aero Club volunteer trying to mow a section of airstrip which juts on to Mr McWilliams land.
During a contest mention in the Geelong Magistrates Court yesterday, police prosecutor Senior Constable Kylie Jane said on July 1 a working bee was held at Barwon Heads Airport.
She said volunteer Leslie Tyack was helping other volunteers to mow the runway to speed up the process so planes could land.
Sen-Constable Jane said that by necessity the victim was mowing the small section of runway which is on Mr McWillian’s land.
“About 10.15 am Mr McWilliam walked briskly up to Mr Tyack who was operating a ride-on mower she said “He grabbed Mr Tyack by the left shoulder and the victim ignored him”.
“Mr McWilliam then grabbed the victim again with force and told him t “Get off my f---ing property”.
“Mr Tyack stopped the mower and explained he was cutting the grass to make it safe”.
Sen-Counstable Jane said Mr McWilliam angrily repeated his demand for Mr Tyack to get off his property and threw a punch.
“The victim put up his left arm to fend off the impact and received a glancing blow to the left side of his jaw”, she said.
Mr Tyack half rose from the mower and struck Mr McWilliam to the face.
“The victim told Mr McWilliam he was gutless hitting someone almost twice his age who was sitting down”.
The prosecutor said Mr McWilliam then stepped back and started videoing everything that was going on.
Mr McWilliam sporting a bloodied lip later went to Torquay police station to report the matter.
He denied assaulting anyone and gave a different version of events.
