Redcliffe Aero Club has access to one. You might ask them any specifics.

You can buy manuals online for them, I got one for the ground course off trademe for 70nzd, was the best money i ever spent. other than that, all I can say is that im off to fly one today, finally! hooraa!
Get on them if you can, just heard they are sold out till 2010, the next gen model just came off the line as well and heads to the states on Thursday, full glass cockpit. Shes a beauty!

I know this is an old thread guys, but just doing some research..
Re field performance, Pilatus often talks up the short feild performance. The figures of 500 - 550m are often mentioned.
Can any of you on the type confirm if these are real world numbers, or more importantly, can you carry a decent load and still achive these numbers?
What about unprepared strips - will it handle a roughish surface within reason, or just a beautiful "bowling green" grass strip?
I understand its not a Twotter or Caravan, but just how close is it in the real world, away from perf charts and marketing speak?
Cheers boys..

More like 600-650m at mtow, isa +10. Maybe the NG uses less with the power up to 1600 from 1200hp. Stops quick too - not hard to pull her up in 200m
Beautiful trailing link undercarriage - will handle a real pounding but you get some pretty horrible noises from the nosewheel on the really rough strips. That said, nothing has broken yet - the swiss build is strong.

Ours regularly goes in and out of SL elev, 580m grass strip.
We can do that at MTOW up to about 25 degrees C, any hotter than that you start to trade weight for ground roll performance.
If it's light, easily airborne inside of 500 metres.
And as mentioned above, they stop real quick.
