I followed the link to the Extra300 inverted spin link and found an even more interesting video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_JAg1ZedGo the pilot has an airprox and in his panic deploys his ballistic recovery chute!

The Extra is easy to stall and spin inverted as it has a symetrical wing with zero incidence. I've done it and it's a bit of a non evemt. The RAF routinely spin the Tucano, the students do it as part of the course (dual). It's a bit more difficult due to being a conventional wing, but again not too dramatic. In fact, the inverted spin is more stable than the erect spin.

That youtube video is pretty scary.

It appears the aircraft he JUST missed was a tugplane, and it was towing a glider. He must have collided with the tow-wire (or glider) and had a structural failure. You can see the glider a few seconds after the big bang.

Luckily he DID deploy the chute. Jeeez.....

Mate if you are anything like my ham-fisted students
Bendo, I would prefer it if you said "were" not "are". I would like to think that in the 40 years since, that I have developed a little finese.

Just waded through the youtube comments. Apparently he hit the towrope with the prop. The glider had already released.
Lesson: Don't climb when approaching a towplane from the side and well below.

Inverted spinning the Macchi was a hoot, enter a slow roll then when inverted full forward on the stick and full pro-spin rudder...get really disoriented then recover after however many rotations it was (12 years ago...forgotten).
If anyone wants to get technical we can get into B:A ratios and their effect but suffice to say spinning the A4 was very very B-A-D
