Flight bag
G'day all ,
It is time to replace my flightbag and I have noticed that you can buy a leather briefcase that has a set of wheels built in.
Anybody been running one of these and if so what brand, where to buy etc..
cheers

Yeah I also would like to know where is a good supplier of these flightbags?
My first one I bought years ago is coming to an end, I thought it was leather back then until the plastic peeled off and the heavy duty chinese cardboard started eroding! haha, Ive seen those ones with the wheels they look good.

My "leather" bag on wheels recently kicked the bucket and I too found it difficult to find a simlar replacement. I got that one from Officeworks at the time, but had no luck at one of their stores when I looked for a new one.
Ended up getting a heavy duty nylon affair from US Luggage (brand) - think it was a Strandbags store. Has wheels (and a better quality handle for pulling along), fits a couple of Jepps, log book and all the paperwork you can think of, plus spare room for whatever. Comes with a 10 year warranty, so I know it's in for the long haul.
The wheels are an essential - after my handle broke, I had a few weeks of hauling it around and I don't know how some guys do it. I'm plenty fit but my back has enough to deal with on a daily basis without Mr Jepps finest trying to pull my discs to the left .... now the right .... now the left again.
Happy shopping!

Try the Scott Leather Company in Texas - website is www.scottleather.com
They have wheeled flight bags at around AUD500 plus around $50 for shipping.
They offer aircrew discounts.
Theya lso have a range of matching accessories, including custom folders for Jepp charts, etc.
Seems expensive, but I reckon it's a small investment for a long lasting and hard wearing product [and no, I don't get a kickback!!].
