Prospective Aviation student.
Hi all, I am from Singapore and will be going to start my flight training next year. I am still looking at the various schools in different countries and considering my options.
I have a few questions for those that trained/training in AU, Is it better to get a CASA ICAO licence or a FAA licence, in terms of job availability overseas.
Also, how is the aviation scene in AU and is it a good time to be a pilot? I am not familiar with AU but is there any preference by the employers to hire native australians rather than foreigners.
Does anyone know any decent schools that offer the CASA ICAO licence?state does not matter..
Finally, what would be the cost to get CPL/IR/ME w/fATPL and bout 200 hours?
Appreciate your help

That subject has been done so many times on Dunnunda.........
CASA or FAA License? Depends where you intend to work!
Casual Grade 3 Instructing? Depends upon your Australian Visa!
Cost for all that? Anything from Aus$70,000 to Aus$140,000, depending on school.
Good schools? Many! And many not so good. Some terrible. No different to the UK or USA!
Do an advanced Search for the word "Student" in Dunnunda forums.

If I intend to find work around Asia, or if worst comes to worst Africa. Which country would I be better of in?
Could you recommend a few reputable schools?
Also, what is all this i hear of the Fast Track programme? Is it any good.
70K-140k sounds a bit steep.
