no surprises here - was announced ages ago locally. they are spending $$$$ enlarging the hangar and intend pushing 2 aircraft a week out the door (intentions of 5 a week eventually. there's a CTC one sitting there right now, with 3 more on the floor. bit of a shame that it's gone offshore, but at least the employees are local (well many of them are poms, but they live locally....)

Apologies in advance for the thread drift but couldn't resist -

airport company is applying for consent to build a big industrial park 'titanium park'

Pity the airport co dosen't focus on running a regional airport that is seen as part of the local regional infrastruture instead of a cash cow to suck as much money as possible from those that have to pass thru or use their airport.
