Cool Job prospects for 2.5k hr pilot/instructor in Perth?

Hello there Ppruners!
I have heard things are booming in WA at the moment and was wondering if someone could tell me where the best doors to knock on are? Would enjoy some instructing or charter work. As Ive only 60 multi I was also wondering what the minima are for a multi position? 2.5 k TT ,Grade 2 ,IF, engineer.
I love Perth but wife and I can go anywhere!
Many Thanks

A Grade 2!!!!

If so Singapore or China Southern at Jandakot will take you almost instantly. Just knock on those two doors...

If you are looking at a job specificly live in Perth then leave China Southern alone.

Singapore are screaming for Instructors from what I hear.

With 60 hours multi, you wont have much chance with the Perth based charter operators, but that being said Skippers are rumoured to be taking on some VERY low time pilots

China Southern, like Singapore are desperate for Gr 2 or 1's at their Jandakot operations. If you have the qualifications they will not send you out to Merredin as you will be more useful to them at Jandakot.

Cheers

Are they finally paying a proper wage to the folks out at MDN? I hear about the wage increases over the years. It was only a matter of time when MDN became too lucrative to consider a move to the city. Now they need to start paying the experienced guys at JT what they deserve

G'day Skywagon,
like its already been mentioned try the 2 cadet flying schools (you do need a CIR to get into singapore) - they pay the best on the strip. The downside is that it is all instructing.
If you are interested in doing some twin charter work try Jandakot Flight Centre. 20% of their work is instructing with the rest being twin charter.
Good luck mate!

P.S. unless you want to be stuck in a hangar, I wouldnt be advertising the fact that you are an engineer. they will all promise you flying but before you know it you will be turning spanners everyday. But i recon i would forget about flying if i was an engineer - better pay and conditions.

Shmoo,

Chris Shine does not own Shine Aviation anymore, so maybe the attitude has changed somewhat. I'm assuming they still have training on their AOC, so it would still be worth a shot.

They have some nice looking twins aswell (from the outside at least) .
