There are two operators in the Nth Island.
Volcanic Air safaris and Taupo's Float plane in.....Taupo. Neil is the guy in Taupo, seems like a nice chap, he often gets someone to help out in summer and I'm fairly certain he does their type rating and initial training.

All you can do is ask right?

Cheers

Southland Floatplane Services based in Invercargill, flying out of Bluff. Some of the best flying you'll do in your life, I promise you.

OOOooo me too unfortunatley that was 1982 sometime .
They are probably $150 a doz now.

Tin remembers the sixties in Taupo when a bright spark left a 185 on floats overnite not tethered properly in the town boat park
When they went to fire it up next morning it had drifted off and was strained through the race into the hydro

well done tinpis, I knew there'd have to be one person schmidt on the place. Attitude like that is best left out...

Oysters (the Bluff variety -absolutely none better or bigger ) are now considerably more expensive than $1.50... but they're worth it! The crayfish, paua and blue-cod also figure large amongst the things I miss most.

Wizard, make yer own judgement bro Personally I reckon none better, noWhere better. REAL wx, real conditions. And the wee Pixie's a top bloke to boot!

Have a ball!
