The strip is well cared for (Owen often goes aviating himself). Be aware of your prop wash near the house (dust).
Fishing the Calvert River is one of life's quiet pleasures. Maybe a bit slow at this time of year, usually fires-up well during the run-off of the winding down wet season.

Pungalina
Thanks OpsN. Any feedback from anyone on activities other than fishing (if its off season.) E.g., the caves, bird watching (feathered), whatever.

Pungalina has great activities... 4 limestone caves (1500 million years old), great and varied types of canoeing on billabongs or the Calvert River, gorges , barramundi fishing in many waterholes and the Calvert, plenty of swimming in thermal underground springs.
Pungalina caters for flyins as it is all catered for and drinks available for purchase. Vehicles, boats, canoes, guided tours and fishing gear all included. Look at the website for details and bookings.... www.pungalinasafaris.com.au Maximum of 12 guests at any one time.
September and early October still a great time to go this year.
