Looking for a Cadetship
I am currently looking for Pilot Cadetship with any airline inside of Australia, preferably Sydney or surrounding areas. If anyone has any information or names of airlines hiring it would be good to hear from you.
Thanks
Steve
Thanks
Steve

CMN i right there next to ya.
Steve you got 100k?? Thats what qwanas will ask for to do their cadet course.
Mate this game isn`t as easy to get into as you may think. Its a long and loansom road of getting knocked back, demise, getting walked over and screwed around, dedicatioin and a passion for aviation, and most imporntantly..... centerlink!!

100K, I don’t think so. For the bargain price of $160K I will get you a cadetship in sunny GA, away from the sea where it hardly ever rains, great wx. It is very similar to the new age Intl wide body gigs here and you will be just as out of pocket. I do have an 8% personal commission on top of that as well for bribing my boss who as morels.
This reply is about as true as the wind up this thread is.
If it is not a wind up then

Hi Steve Rath,
don't worry about some of the negative posts here. You will find that there are plenty of angry people in this industry.
I'm from Melbourne but like you, I didnt want to leave my home town, after all, who would want to live in a hot place with flies and no indoor rock climbing club!
So I tried the site below and followed my nose, now I'm a jet captain, have a huge house (complete with microbrewery) and a group of nubile young lesbians that fight over me in my backyard mud pit each evening. Anyways here's the link. Im sure some of these fine folk can help out.

ps. If you look closely, there is a deal going on little green elves that do a great job of polishing your RM's at night without even waking you!
pps. Gotta a spare beer ContactMeNow?

Steve,
Why do you want a cadetship? What are your main reasons?
A better start may be to ask the chaps here how they got into the industry, it may give you a better understanding as to why some people seem to react the way they do when noob's post.
My first post. Yay!

Steve; I should think that by now, giving you the benefit of the doubt naturally that your post was not a wind up, that you have got the message well and truly!
Unfortunately this site seems to have far more than its share of cynics, hard bitten individuals and outright (insert your favourite epithet here) so humour me as I assume that your post was indeed genuine.
If you wish to know about cadetships, approach the airlines directly to enquire of their requirements in this field.
Most of us here did it the hard way, ie paid for it ourselves with hard work, blood, sweat and in some cases tears as well.
My opinion anyway, put in the best way I can think of after almost a full bottle of good red!
Others may put it far better than I.
