Caught two more just like it last Friday!

PS: An aeroplane flew over while I was landing it (aviation content!).

Pffft Forkie. That is a picture of a mere tadpole.
I'm waiting for Tex to Email me the photo of the 20kg 1.4 Metre Spaniard that led me a very merry dance.
Fantastic place is Sweers Island. Tex and Innamincka Mick run a great show up there. The tucker is brilliant.
Yes Jaba, unfortunately my left hand has been glued to an 18 speed Roadranger these past few weeks and kept me pretty quiet.
Things are a tad busy here at present

BEACHIE, ya don't really think I would step into the ring without a few weapons in the armoury do ya?
You mean like this one? We call these things "bait", in my part of the world!

PS: I think a Qantas 737 flew over while I was sitting there (aviation content!).

In the mid 1980s, Kerry Packer arrived at VRD (Helimuster) with two Cessna Citations (or were they LearJets??) and hired half a dozen Bell 47s and a coupla fixed wing to fly to his local station up the road (Humbugger or something. Long story short, someone must've pissed in his ear, but after that, these two jets took off, JUST like in that photo.
Only thing is, the runway is dirt, gravel, crushed rock and dust. No bitumen.
AND ... they did a flypast, after taxiing UP the runway, so they flew through this humungous cloud of dust of their own making!! Apparently, they got back to Sydney, although the fan blades must've copped a pizzling!!

BNE CEN/OK & AMB APP
Thanks to the wonderful guys and lady this afternoon, very accomodating when Jaba wanted to duck and weave, in and out of FL's to avoid the stormy build ups, ice etc.
With the aid of a cockpit of electronics, and some great ATC.... we managed to avoid all the bad stuff and pick our way around to get visual and into YCAB without holding inside a nasty bit of rain etc.
And look at it now......this is an early start to storm season!

As Dogster said it's at Brisbane, parked next to another plastered with flysolomons.com.au
Just took the pic in passing and wondered if it was somehow military related as the battery cart was army green.

That A340 (my mistake ) has been sitting there for a while now, I think I saw it there about a month ago. Right next to the road too!
