well that got all emotional
Chuckles and I will be on an aerial inspection of SA and VIC over the next couple of days, enroute from Parafield to Essendon via lots of places in between. This is our ride!

They had to move the nose wheel to the rear to take account of 16 x GPS 14 x Tablet PC's, 8 x iPad/iPhones...............
And ATC shut down for the day just to avoid the paperwork!

Here's the view from the verandah of the pub where we stayed the night.

Grandpa Aerotart
The reason the aircraft is on the east apron was it has been having some repairs there after it's engine failure/forced landing in SA this time last year. Dennis Wisby and his fellas have done a great job and they were all a bit sad to see JTM depart. I took several for a quick circuit before departing for Aldinga-the 10-12kts quartering tailwind on 21R was 'exciting':
The CofG is a long way behind the main wheels on a 195-it hates quartering tailwinds.
The landing on 14 at Aldinga was MUCH less exciting. As I lined up on 21R I told the engineers "hey guys don't want you to worry but the last thing I landed was a 777 and I haven't flown this thing in two years"
If I were a Dr I would have awesome bed side manner
One was an ex AG pilot and remarked when we got back that had I told him I was a 777 pilot before we went he wouldnt have gone for the ride
Tomorrow we end up at YECH- via ANYTHING but a straight line- Warrnambool for lunch is about as much 'planning' as we thought appropriate this evening.

Flew in to the strip, took a four wheel drive and lazed away the April Fools Day afternoon. Voluntary working bee at the Smallbore Club this morning.
Ho Hum, - life goes on, - after the young hirers-and-firers tell you that you have too much experience for them to give you a regular aeroplane.

Someone has to stir this photo thread along...
One is an Indians Head - and the other has Champagne Pools.
Somewhere in the South Pacific.(Where else?)
The story.....? just an old fella's musings..
Enjoyed a run in the Cessna today taking a young German lad who had just got his RAA Instructors Rating, and his fiance, for a run inland over part of a handy National Park that had spring fed pools where the gullies came off the mountains. Told them the story of when I did joyflights over the nudist beaches on the Sunshine Coast a long time ago, so we had to look close at the people cavorting in the pools today to see if they were in the nuddy too....
She was rapped seeing her dads place, and the neighbours from the air , so that made me feel good too..
