If you want to experience that, strap yourself to a Mooney 201.

Re # 5844
I may be way off track but those two a/c on the right look like SAA 747's in the old livery, so that would make it possibly CPT before the shanty towns expanded almost onto the runway. It's ano ld photo and poor definition.

Hey guys its sydney 1979, I took the shot from the rh seat senica. What looks like a shanty town is actually a shipping container depot, still there today.
You can even make out the old tower to the right.

ahh, the Golden Eagle
I have decided to no longer be derogatory to this bird, simply because it's, well, SO BLOODY FAST!!!
And actually, I really like it, in the air and on the ground. So fast.
Anyway, if anyone wants pics of their favourite machine, pm me. I'm hooked on this camera/flying combination!
Here's some more, and more coming of the inside/static shots.

I suppose if I were to point out that Sprock has an experienced and qualified team it would border on advertising
The old 421's sure are a nice ship - but I prefer the ones with the "cuddly bits" on the ends of the wings!

Hendon, -a quarter century ago while on leave. If the world had turbo-diesels back 70 years ago, and we have them in two place cars now, even motorbikes, why not have them burning Avtur (or Power Kerosene like the old Massey Harris 44, but she was non-turbo, just had two tanks and you switched from petrol to kero after the hotbox near the carburettor warmed up) in reasonable size commuter airframes as well? Will be digging out my Mustang, Beech 18, Lockheed 10, Winjeel etc. in full cry - photos from Mangalore of '82. Know they are there somewhere...
