I would have thought it also helps keep the fuselage build simple - having the wing running through the fuse makes for complicated pressurisation strength building - more weight, less speed etc. Keep the tube round, it's strong (to at least FL48 obviously!) and it's light.

Yep...seen it fly a few times now, goes fast, but not as fast as it looks. The noise is appropriate though.

Nice vid AGS99, thanks. Agree too, although would prefer a 200 over a 350. 350's look like cheyennes, wrong

Toolowtoofast,

The service ceiling of the X is FL510 although I've never flown it at that level.

Under most circumstances its happy to climb directly to FL450 and after burning fuel up to FL470. I've climb it to FL490 but it too a long time! At that altitude the plane feels like its balancing on a pin and the red and white lines are very close together. I don't even what to think what the period of useful conscious who be in the event of a depressurization.

Wow! Does the horizon appear curved at that flight level?

At least one of the pilot's would be fine, because they would have their oxy mask on above FL410! Wouldn't they?

Gee Jaba,

Looks like a LUVLY place to be....Blue skies, Green grass to land on, and bewdiful aeroplanes......
Am Jealous.

In 'the ole days' we did well at WYALKATCHEM in Wheatbelt Country WA to have a good array of Chippies, Tigers, C-180, Pawnee, Callair, and the 'usual' assortment of 'modern' Cessna / Pipers etc.

One of the best pics of the time was taken by the Cessna rep, of all the other aircraft sales reps from JT - Piper, Beech, etc standing under the wing of a Cardinal to keep out of the sun....at least they were useful for that....

Cheers, NICE POST!

p.s. I feel for Kermit........
