Does anyone know of a road (country) database that can be loaded onto Garmin GPS III Pilot - or even if it can be done? I want to continue to use it for flying but I would like to also use it for (road) motor cycling. I would be to happy upload the aviation/road databases before the required use.
Any suggestions or leads to experts or blogs would be appreciated.
Many thanks

I dont think it can - it only has a very basic land map in it - and from memory you have a choice of 3 world aviation databases only. (Which can still be updated for about $35US.
There used to be some sort of garmin map source cds which you could buy - i am not sure if they are compatible with the III pilot, i think there is still a link to the GPSIIIpilot on the garmin website, which may tell you more.
I think it is probably just as cheap to buy a small colour GPS anyway, with much better display, the price has dropped massivly since the inflated GPSIII pilots price!
