Question where to next?

Hi people
quick question......
Where to next?
I have 1500total, 150 multi, and 150 turbine (single). I hear 500 multi is a magic number for getting employment in the bigger centres. I am hoping to move out of the 'bush' to a more habitable place soon but unsure if the time I have will be enough. What level or type of job would be worth applying for with this time...dont want to waste employers time when I am well off the mark. What about NZ requirements?
thanks

Look around

Hit up the operators who operate twins in the slightly more civilised places to get your 500 multi command.

There are places like Cairns and Darwin where decent operators exist who will hire you for twin jobs (based on your experience, anyway).

There are a lot of places that are still considered 'in the bush' that are quite a long way above being totally remote and in the middle of nowhere as far as facilities and services, etc. go. Maybe see what you can dig up in that regard.

That's what I'd do, anyway. What are you doing at the moment, by the way?

Yeah. I am in a similiar but slightly different boat. I think NZ might be dicey now Origin Pacific folding has flooded the market with 50 or so more experienced guys than myself. Not sure how that will affect GA... I am in Africa, a bit tired of the 3rd world, and heading to Cairns in November with about 1600TT and 300 multi and an uncurrent IF. Am just going to test the water and if need be hit the highway in order to find ANY twin/if/night job. But Cairns sounds nice.....
PM me if you need any lowdown on NZ operators.
