The poor buggers at the coal face can't be held to account for the actions of a failed management and flawed business model. The fact that the employees of Australian have had their airline shut down and have been converted to that of a crewing company for Qantas is beyond their control. It's time to stop slagging them and and if you really believe that they are eroding the conditions of Longhaul cabin crew, do something to help them improve their conditions. If the staff of the new company 'show up' the Longhaul crew as a result of a stronger service culture etc., then all credit to them. I am amazed that Woomera has allowed this thread to sink to the catty depths that it has.

reminds me of the time a b734 pulled into syd domestic one day -the captain told the me over the headset that every now and then the aircraft reqd a couple of units of trim in both the nose up and nose down pitch attitude - i was very perplexed - there was no history of this problem in the techlog-after some investigating i found/saw the problem it was CD an f/a- she was just living the aircraft when i noticed the main gear oleo's rise another 5 inch'es problem solved- seems during flt when CD was walking from the front of the cabin to the rear galley the aircraft would pitch a little bit requiring a unit or 2 of stab trim to keep the nose down and vice versa when she was walking to the front of the cabin- we called her CD because every time she walked down the cabin her ass would brush past seats C and D of every row.pax heads would get brushed -drinks would go flying -maybe its you CATER EXCHANGE in your early short/haul days before the company pissed your whinging fat ass off to long/haul to inflict more pain and suffering on the SLF -ok:

Surly there are other threads for all you hoastatutes to talk **** on. The geneal aviation section is not a good place to compare the size of your arse, unless you want to post up some pics.

Ballsdeep ( you wish ) - It was Woomera himself who moved this thread to the 'GA would be if you could be RPT airline pilot' thread.

Also with a username like yours, one would hope you can supply pics also. Put your 737 endorsment money where your mouth is

Are you proud to wear the uniform of crew that you are helping to undermine their conditions!
I am well aware that you all will do anything to preserve your jobs, but don't rub it into our noses by making silly and stupid comments like " I wonder how the merger is going" ( IT WAS NOT A MERGER) so dont delude yourselves.
No one is going on about the uniform expect u with your comments indicating that AO crew do not belong to your company. I was referring that your poor cousins in Cairns of which 90% moved there from the south when being employed 4 years ago never expected to be operating & delivering QF product. We all get hard done by, but AO crew are some of the nicest crew.
Do u really think all we care about is a uniform? Give me a break. We at AO are not underminding anyones conditions it is QF mgt that want to errode yours not us. We continue to operate under our current EBA as we have always. Perhaps the FAAA could assist u with any issues u have with your conditions rather than indicating that the crew at AO are behind anything that happens to you. We are all colleagues operating flights for our employer Qantas. Yes they do own AO & always have, however due to the introduction of jet*int we to are in limbo. Fly safe!!
