Does anyone know if/when Jetstar will be servicing Darwin?

Most airlines give us a good going over sooner or later.

I've heard so but no time frame as yet. Interesting that 'Harlot' Blue no longer seem to offer much in the way of direct syd-darwin with flights via brissy.

Nope, we dont get much in the way of service here in Darwin do we.

Know someone who installed some new phone lines in the terminal this week, and the customer name was Jetstar. Nothing seems to have been announced on their website about an upcoming service though, So we will wait and see...

That's because they don't fly non-stop SYD/DRW any longer so you're only option is Skippy or hanging out for Jay Queue.
Remember if you need to know anything about anything in Darwin (Airport) ask the cleaners particularly that little ginger headed fellow that resembles a leprechaun.
The Jetstar A320 aircraft you have seen on the tarmac are ferry flights which have a technical stop in Darwin and are not scheduled passenger flights as yet.
Your best bet would be to keep checking out the website to see when Darwin appears on the list of destinations you can travel to.
Cheers

A brief article on the 0900 ABC Radio news this morning, advised that Jet* have confirmed ops to Darwin this year but no definite date yet.
