Wingless DC3 - Bankstown

As I was driving into Bankstown airport the other day, I noticed a wingless DC3, painted in D-Day colours parked on the southern side.

Anyone know the story?

I believe it's VH-MMF c/n 12540 of South Pacific Airmotive.
