Did the NZ ATPL to the US ATP last year.
Fairly straightforward procedure. One easy exam (multichoice), and type rating checkride (in Sim) was sufficient for flight test issue.
PPL and CPL I assume, will be just as easy.
Check out the FAA website it gives detailed instructions.

Did the Oz CPL to FAA ATP a few months ago.
The CPL is actually more difficult than the ATP, but you need to have the hours for the ATP:
1500 total
100 night
75 IFR
First step is to have your kiwi license validated by the FAA. That takes a few months. Once it is validated you can begin your conversion. I went through: www.atpflightschool.com
They are a real production line mob, they take you in and quickly spit you out - but that is what I wanted…Give them a call, they will answer all your questions.
