Do the numbers.....
Anna,
I am a former Chief Pilot of a GA company that employed six pilots at it zenith. All were IFR rated and two of which were female and all six were enguaged in IFR single pilot operations.
One had very impressive qualifications and a commensurate number of flying/instructional hours and was a shower of Shyte and a constant pain in the ar#e and had to be "let go", whilst the other, with absolute minimums for the operation assigned (single pilot IFR at an out basing on a C182 Bankrun), was by far my best pilot with respect to command ability, airmanship and operational awareness.
The later is, last heard of, flying right seat B747 in Europe, whilst the former is.....don't know!!!
Its an individual thing.......do not be a pilot that merely views strapping an aircraft to there ar#e to log hours. Be a pilot that "operates" an aircraft. If you do not know the difference now - you never will.

I hope there will be a day soon where this kind of topic will not be relevant, its about time some of the girls out there realised they're not special just because they fly, there a loads of female pilots out there some good, some not so good, but the same can be said for male pilots also, it's not a gender thing.
Anna goodluck, with your flying if you want it enough you'll get there.
