Specificly you are looking for Redfearn's Formulae

Here are some sites that will help
http://www.agso.gov.au/nmd/geodesy/d...eo_to_grid.jsp

http://www.agso.gov.au/nmd/geodesy/datums/calcs.jsp

The last one here has access to an .xls spreadsheet

And if you realy want to kep yourself sleepless for a couple of nights, here is the actual formulae...
http://www.icsm.gov.au/icsm/gda/gdatm/gdav2.2.pdf

Go to page 23 on pdf viewer.

Had to dig cobwebs out of the brain I used to use for seismic surveying. Be careful using this to convert any grid co-ords from any maps made in NSW ,they have a different grid to the rest of Australia

Regards

Mark
