Best jet airliner
Maybe I'm showing my age but I'm surprised only one other has mentioned the SUD Caravelle. A beautiful aircraft - I guess the French had to get one thing right. Worth a hunt for a picture if anyone can find one. First built in 1958 - similar to early DC9's but a bit slower and nearly ten years earlier. Had a mid mounted tail which was unusual. But really only three aircraft give me a **rdon - P51, Avon Sabre and B727. I dream on!!

Whilst I would agree with the 722 as the prettiest, I believe the DC8, especially the stretched version, comes a close second, if not 1st equal.
