Some fresh info, possibly a lead for some...

Richard Branson plans to launch "a quality low-cost airline" in the US by the end of June 2004, beginning with about 10-15 aircraft. Branson made his remarks yesterday in unveiling Virgin Atlantic's new Upper Class cabin, Reuters reported. Under US law, Branson will be limited to a 25% voting stake in any US airline. Although Transportation Secretary Norman Mineta has proposed raising the limit to 49%, this will require a change in the law.
